Deck: Tarot decks consist of 78 cards. There many decks to choose from, each with a different visual style and emotional cadence. Although the traditional meanings of the cards are the same regardless of the specific deck used, the imagery and language associated with each deck tends to make it particularly useful for some types of readings. By default we'll show you a description with sample card from each deck and let you choose, but you can skip this step by selecting a deck from the pulldown menu, or selecting "Choose For Me".

Spreads: Tarot readings are arrangements of cards drawn from a shuffled deck. The layout of the cards is known as a spread, and determines what each card refers to. For example, the Two Paths spread is used to understand an upcoming decision, and hence it uses cards to represent the different options and their outcomes. By default we'll show you a description of each spread and let you choose, but you can skip this step by selecting a spread from the pulldown menu, or selecting "Choose For Me".

Reversals: One of the attractions of our site is that it offers readings in which some or all of the cards may appear reversed, which tends to represent the negation of the force of that card. If you prefer that we deal all of your cards upright, just uncheck this box.

Significator: Some people like to start a reading by personally choosing a significator, which is a card that focuses the reading - this is most commonly done with the Celtic Cross spread. If you would like to choose a significator prior to your reading, just check this box.
